“She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.”
- J.D. Salinger, “A Girl I Knew”
Song:
Lyrics: www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/mattnathanson/princess.html Wand: Cedar, unicorn hair, 11 3/4 inches, unyielding Wand Meaning:
“Whenever I meet one who carries a cedar wand, I find strength of character and unusual loyalty. My father, Gervaise Ollivander, used always to say, ‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them.
Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner.” Patronus: Manx Cat “Those with this Patronus are usually calm under pressure and good in difficult situations. Nothing will phase a conjurer of this Patronus which makes them good to have on your side when in bother.
Another feature of witches/wizards with this patronus is ferocity. Being both fierce to those on the wrong side of them and fiercely loyal to allies.
It is only an unflappable individual that can successfully conjure this fiery patronus.” Affilitation: Gryffindor House; Gryffindor Quidditch Team (Chaser); (eventual) Member of the Order of the Phoenix.
Death Date: May 2, 1998
Age at Death: 38
Death Place: Hogwarts; 5th floor corridor
Manner of Death: At the Battle of Hogwarts, death by Yaxley and Rosier
Last Words: “Come at me, you pieces of shit-“
Primary Objective: To bring down the gathering forces of the Dark Arts and those that use them to gain power and influence.
Secondary Objectives: Finding love and “goodness” in the world. Hestia is a lover in a fighter and wants to know that there is true love that exists.
Priorities: Friends. Hestia is fiercely loyal and wants to ensure the happiness and safety of her friends.
Motivation: Her friends, Paisley, trying to keep the good in the world, Benjy.
Accomplishments: Making Quidditch team; befriending loyal people.
Greatest Achievement: Standing up to her now abusive father, defending her younger sister. It took a bravery she didn’t know she possessed.
Failures: Not doing the above sooner; Helping to damage the friendship between herself and Marlene; failed relationships (Hestia takes these particularly hard as she has determination for love).
Biggest Failure: Not being more prepared and adept at magic when the Death Eaters attacked the Hogwarts Express. Hestia feels that she should have been more useful at the time of the attack rather than needed rescuing. This has made her more determined to be disciplined in learning skills that would help her protect those that she cares about.
Self-Confidence: It varies. Perhaps this is the truest side of Hestia’s Gemini status. Her Seventh Year at Hogwarts is the year that she is tested the most. Hestia is tried this year by injured friendships, broken hearts, a failing home life. Up to this point, Hestia found confidence easily but this year finds herself stumbling in moments of self-doubt.
Traumas: Hestia’s father has developed a drinking problem along with a tendency to take out his physical aggression on the women in the Jones family. After the Hogwarts Express was attacked, Hestia sustained an injury to her shoulder that she fears may affect her chances at having a successful Quidditch career if the war was to never happen. The torture sustained at the time of the attack, however brief, left it’s own mark mentally. Hestia was recently taken captive by and assaulted by Rodolphus Lestrange though the memories are suppressed by charms put in place by her younger sister to block to trauma.
Afflictions: Benjy’s hot and cold feelings toward her as of late as he deals with his own traumas. She wants to be there for him but doesn’t know how to in all the right ways. Subconsciously, the event with Rodolphus Lestrange is weighing heavily. It will soon come to light and affect her, potentially, for the rest of her life.
Embarrassments: Hestia finds herself embarrassed by the awkwardness that has since grown between herself and Marlene, Dorcas. She is embarrassed by any personal weakness, and her Gryffindor pride takes a hit when she must admit that she’s wrong or made a mistake. Her recent change in her home life makes her feel ashamed and embarrassed because Ianto Jones is no longer the man that everyone thought he was.
Worries: The oncoming war; the unsure feeling in the world as the darkness encroaches; Paisley feeling unwell and/or being harmed; the overall feeling of “not being good enough” as it seems to be a recurring theme in her life as of late. Soothers: Being on a broom, Benjamin Fenwick, sitting next to the fire in the Gryffindor Common Room, reading, spending time with her longtime friend - Remus Lupin. Instigators: Voices raised in anger; the sound of ice in a glass both from her father and Lestrange; the smell of whiskey.
Earliest Memory: Playing in the yard with Remus Lupin.
Fondest Memory: Swimming in the lake with Benjy, laughing and splashing each other.
Worst Memory: Sustaining the Cruciatus Curse at the Hogwarts Express; the time with Rodolphus Lestrange (yet to be remembered).
Favorite Dream: Playing Quidditch for the Holyhead Harpies, Benjy cheering on from the stands.
Worst Nightmare: Walking through a field and finding the bodies of her friends, dead, strewn all around her.
Desires: A warm, happy life with someone - maybe Benjy.
Wishes: The above with no discord in their lives, no sight of the war anywhere.
Regrets: The falling out with Marlene and Dorcas, though she hopes eventually they can rectify it. And, well, if she’s being honest with herself, dating Sirius. They had a good friendship before and pursuing the romantic side of it stripped them of that friendship.
Secrets: She carries Remus’ secret with her, though that is not her own. She doesn’t openly share that her father has a drinking problem coupled with abusive tendencies.
Confidantes: Remus Lupin (with anything and everything).
Soft Spots: Benjy, Remus, anyone in need.
Cruel Streaks: Currently, she has self-control, but if anyone threatened someone she loves (Benjy, Remus, etc.), she would have a hard time holding back her Gryffindor-esque rage.
Musical Instrument: Dappled with a guitar, but is definitely no musical genius. She took piano lessons as a child, but hasn’t played consistently in quite some time.
Quirks: Hestia is left-handed and snorts when she laughs too hard. She doesn’t like the sensation of falling - which is good incentive for holding onto the broom extra tight.
Mental Characteristics
IQ: Hestia is of average intelligence, maybe a little smarter than she acknowledges some times.
Known Languages: English, Greek
Lures: Love, warmth, broken in leather couches in the common room with a good, old book. Benjamin’s smile and company.
Manias: Hestia studies Quidditch stats pretty frequently, more so now that she’s injured and may not be able to play professionally. Probably not manically, but still enjoys it more than the average person. Memory: Hestia is extremely adept at remember silly details. She jokingly refers to it as her “garbage brain” that retains the location an object was last seen or names and birthdays of people from a long time ago. If it’s a potions recipe? Forget it.
Phobias: Sensation of falling; super loud thunder makes her very uncomfortable. Savvies: Charms is Hestia’s best subject. Quidditch is a skill of hers, “quite talented in the air” per Professor Dumbledore.
Ineptities: Potions. Slughorn wants to like her but it’s hard when you keep destroying cauldrons. Understanding Dorcas/staying away from her friend, Remus. Whoops.
Temperament: Hestia is a balance of sanguine and melancholic. Whereas some Geminis have “good twin/bad twin”, Hestia’s twins are an introvert and an extrovert. She thrives well in public situations, often finding herself to be the one to discharge/loosen awkward, tension filled situations. She will assume that role if necessary, but does prefer to spend a quiet evening, preferably with Benjy if he’s in the mood to spend time together. Hobbies: Quidditch, reading. Pet Peeves: People that eat loudly; interrupt others; ignorant people, unwilling to listen in any way.
Spatial: Hestia has a strong imagination, honed by running around with Remus playing pretend, and then again with Paisley when they were young.
Linguistic: Hestia finds it easier to sometimes explain herself through written communication. In person, she can often get a bit flustered with her emotional tendencies blocking the way she expresses herself verbally. Writing allows her more time to think it out, to write and re-write.
Bodily-Kinesthetic: Being a skilled Chaser, Hestia is good at handling her body and in relation to objects/things around her. She can work well with more than just a Quaffle. She is typically aware of herself within a space and doesn’t often run into/trip over/drop things unless she finds herself distracted. The only hindrance she feels she has in this area would be since the injury sustained at the train with her shoulder. Sometimes a pain radiates from her shoulder through her arm and her grip is weakened. Musical: With the bit of musical training she had in her youth, Hestia responds well to pitches and tones. She hums pretty frequently, maybe even occasionally singing a bit in the showers (sorry Gryffindors).
Interpersonal: Hestia is overall pretty well liked - well, was (thanks Dorcas and Marlene!) She is an overall fun person with an open sense of humor on a typical day. She responds and interacts well with people that she does know and others that are new to her. There are those that she doesn’t get along with of course. There are times that she meets people and has a “not so great” feeling about them - essentially any Lestrange, Rosier, etc.
Intrapersonal: This is the first year that Hestia’s self-confidence and understanding of herself has wavered. She believes she knows who she is, deep down - the main, core values remain the same, in tact. She knows that she will fight for the good in the world and wants to stop those that don’t. But the little things that make Hestia Hestia are shaken slightly this year between failed friendships and relationships.
Naturalistic: Hestia’s ability to remember/pay attention to detail allows her to notice when little things are off or not in their normal state. There are times that she feels she can connect emotionally to a space.
Existential: There isn’t much that Hestia doesn’t find impossible. Things that occur without much logically explanation, Hestia would likely accept it a bit more than the average person. She wouldn’t dig too deeply into the matter either, most likely.
Etiquette: Joining the Order is a pretty solid show of how she expects to interact with the world after graduation.
Attitude: Hestia typically has a light about her, an easily found smile with full laughter easily found. Recently, Hestia has found the smile a little more difficult to find and the laughter not as full. Whether this is due to the current world’s state or more to her growing up a little more, becoming more of a young woman than a child, she isn’t quite sure yet.
Outlook on Life: Hestia is finding herself a bit saddened lately, a bit unsure of the world. But, still, there seems to be a piece of her that still comes through: Hopeful.
Perception: There is a part of Hestia that will always search for a way out, a solution for the situation she finds herself in. Again, Hestia will remain hopeful, despite how dark the world may be, may become.
Philosophy: “Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.” Everyone has somewhere that they came from; and everyone has somewhere that they’re going. Taboos: In the right company, there isn’t much that Hestia won’t discuss. Maybe some bodily functions, hah.
Superstitions: Hestia isn’t overly superstitious though she would avoid walking under ladders when she can. A broken mirror might make her suspicious.
Virtues: Hestia likes to think that she has a fair amount of Diligience, Humility, Kindness and Justice. Though, if she were to be honest with herself, she most likely exhibits more of Kindness and Justice than of the others. Her Kindness, though, she is sure doesn’t extend to the amount that Lily’s does.
Vices: If she’s being honest with herself, a little bit of Envy from time to time…and maybe a greater amount of Lust.
Dislikes: Losing; Depending on the day, Dorcas and Marlene; sauerkraut; failing; not being good enough; thunder.
Favorite Animal: Fox Favorite Band: Howling Hags
Favorite Book: Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Favorite Color: Indigo
Favorite Country: Greece
Favorite Drink: Pumpkin-Cranberry Juice
Favorite Excuse: “Can’t. Sorry. I have Quidditch practice. You know how Potter is.”
Favorite Food: Mashed potatoes; Shepherd’s pie
Favorite Pastime: Quidditch
Favorite People: Benjamin Fenwick; Remus Lupin; Fabian and Gideon Prewett; Lily Evans
Favorite Place: Quidditch Pitch; Grecian beaches
Most Prized Possession: She has a ring that was given to her by her grandmother on her father’s side. A small, simple ring with a golden band and a small black stone nestled inside. She never met her grandmother, but it was given to her accompanied by a letter. Hestia feels closer to her and her past because of this.
Most Valuable Possession: Hestia has invested a fair amount of money in her Quidditch gear. If someone snagged her duffle bag and broom, they’d probably be able to sell it for a pretty penny. Trinkets: Wand; more of a tool than a trinket, but she doesn’t like to go anywhere without it.
Criminal Record: Unless you count the amount of times that Hestia ended up in detention for various school rule breakings…no record.
Discriminations: Slytherins.
Dominance: It depends on the subject and the person that she’s having the discussion with. One of her pet peeves is people who don’t open their minds to people and other’s opinions. She will (typically) hear someone out on their side. However, if the discussion is in regards to what she believes should be human rights, things that fall into the stark black and white contrast of good and evil… Then she is solid in her resolve.
Ego: Hestia is a bit more confident than others - afterall, she is a Gryffindor. She is a bit less sure of herself this year but is finding a way to navigate those waters. On the outside, it’s likely that she appears steadfast and certain as always.
Emotional Stability: Again, this year has put Hestia through her paces. Between losing friends and being rejected romantically a few times, she’s lost her footing. She has an emotional maturity that will make her come to terms and rise above her own personal injuries to meet the occasion. After the breakup with Sirius, finding that he and Marlene had been together, then the falling out of her friendship (whatever was left) with Marlene and Dorcas, the confusion with Benjy’s back and forth, and then the rejection the one time she and Remus attempted anything more than basic friendship… She slipped. But she’s trying to come above it. Especially in the world that they live in currently. She knows that there are bigger issues at hand than her own emotional distractions.
Expression: Hestia likes to use humor as a defense, to cover up what she may be feeling. Overall, she expresses herself well, despite fumbling every now and again. She may not always be forthright in saying it, but she gets around to it eventually.
Humor: Slapstick will always make Hestia laugh, much to the physical misfortune of others. Hestia is also very good at laughing at herself, using it to make light of anything she doesn’t necessarily like about herself.
Liveliness: Hestia has endurance and can go for a long time. She isn’t hyper active in any way, and definitely needs to recharge her preverbal batteries after a while - but she can go for a long time when it’s necessary.
Mannerisms: Hestia can be charmingly awkward at times, along with her self-deprecating humor. Afterall, one must be a bit of a goofball to keep up with the likes of the Prewett Twins and Benjamin Fenwick, right? She is also well-mannered and polite; she can operate herself as a young socialite in the wizarding world based on the etiquette lessons her mother encouraged (*cough* forced *cough*) her to take. Who would want to make a marriage contract with a pureblood witch that didn’t know which fork to eat their second course with?
Patience: Hestia can be very patient - unless it’s related to eating. Food is an immediate need. But she has waited years for Benjy… Some things are worth waiting for.
Reputation: A lot of things have changed for Hestia more recently than others. This year, between James Potter sneaking a stolen kiss at Halloween, to being with Sirius, to reportedly having taken Remus Lupin’s virginity, and maybe now a second bout with Benjy… A few, less than tasteful words have been said behind Hestia’s back. She would have once assumed that she was rather well liked, but isn’t quite so sure this year.
Sociability: Hestia can be quite social, willing to reach out to those that may not have many connections. Again, there are times that Hestia needs to just be alone so that she can recharge and reset. If there is an after party for a Quidditch match, though, expect her to be there. Status: Rather popular; not as infamous as The Marauders, of course.
Extracurricular: Gryffindor Quidditch Team; Charms Club
Study Habits: Hestia typically studies in bed at night when she can’t sleep, or shortly before bed - she finds studying makes her bored an then tired enough to sleep well.
Learning Type: Very much kinesthetic. Someone can show Hestia a spell over and over, but she doesn’t get it until she is able to do it for herself.
Occupation: Student. Ideally, wanted to be a professional Quidditch player. Will unlikely happen. Transportation: Broom, apparation, Floo Network
Debt: No debts, monetarily speaking.
Dependents: No dependents at this time. Though, babies may be in the near future.
Funds: A few galleons and sickles on her most of the time.
Income: No current income; probably won’t for some time.
Close Relatives: Hestia had an uncle on her Father’s side that she was quite fond of, but he died at a young age due to a heart attack.
Distant Relatives: None that play a significant role in her life currently.
Ancestors: Hestia’s Grandmother that gifted her the ring a long time ago. There’s no one of overwhelming significance that she is aware of in her past.
Acquaintances: Peter. They run in the same circles, but he isn’t someone that Hestia would necessarily call a close confidant. Emmeline Vance used to be a good friend but it seems they too have grown a bit distant this year - Emmeline just doesn’t seem to be around as often.
Allies: The Order. Lily Evans, Benjy, Fabian and Gideon, Remus - maybe even Marlene and Sirius once things normalize more.
Enemies: Slytherins that have seemed to made their allegiance known with Voldemort. Rodolphus Lestrange. Dorcas Meadowes if she’s mad enough at Hestia at the time. Followers: None that she is aware of.
Friends: Remus Lupin, Benjy Fenwick, Fabian and Gideon Prewett, James Potter, Lily Evans
Heroes: He’s not a super hero but… Remus. Hestia always looks up to Remus (both literally and figuratively). Sometimes, she doesn’t understand how someone that has suffered so much and been hurt over and over, can manage to be as kind and loving as Remus is. He’s an inspiration to her.
Inspirations: Oh, well, ah, same as above. Remus John Lupin. Same could be said of Lily, especially in light of recent events.
Pets: Hestia has a small, grey owl named Hermes.
Rivals: Maybe a bit Marlene? Maybe a bit of Dorcas. For some time, Marlene and Hestia could have been considered rivals for Sirius’ affections. But, well, that went in Marlene’s favor for a lot of reasons. Same for Dorcas and Remus. Hestia knows now that she would never have been able to be the one to hold Sirius and/or Remus’ affections for long.
Role Models: Remus. There used to be some idea that her father was - smart, successful, etc.But now, the man that he has become, Hestia dislikes the idea that she ever looked up to a man that could become so cruel. Also, the lead singer of the Howling Hags, Agatha - just because she's badass.
Subordinates: Hestia doesn’t have any subordinates.
Specialty: Charms and hexes.
Strengths: Dueling - able to keep a level head and attempts to stay one step ahead of her opponent.
Weaknesses: Hestia could be easily distracted if a close relation is threatened.
Skin Color: Light
Height: 5’4 in
Weight: 125 lbs
Scars: Shoulder scar on the front side
Piercings: Ears (lobes), one cartilage piercing
Tattoos: None.
Addictions: N/A
Aids: N/A
Allergies: Penicillin, though she’ll probably never know that.
Diseases: Had Dragonpox as a child
Disorders: N/A
Medication: N/A
Vulnerabilities: Her shoulder injury has limited some mobility; chronic pain is a bit of a distraction
Fitness: Healthy and athletic - thanks for the conditioning, James!
Hygiene: Clean, showers on the regular.
Martial Arts: N/A - though would be interested in some hand-to-hand combat training. She feels it would be nice to not always depend on her wand
Maximum Load: About 50 lbs to be able to still move comfortably, but could life about 100 lbs if necessary
Posture: Usually stands and walks tall and straight backs. Though she is guilty of slouching when it comes to reading and writing in bed or at a desk. If she is reading in the common room in the chair, forget about posture.
Scent: A mixture of lavender and warm vanilla with a small hint of cinnamon.
Orientation: Heterosexual
Sex Life: Active
Virginity: Taken by Amos Diggory over the summer between her fifth and sixth year, shortly after her 16th birthday. Happy birthday, indeed!
First Love: Remus Lupin, whether or not she admitted it
Love Interests: Benjy, currently.
Past: Sirius, Remus
Marital Status: Single
Significant Other: Maybe Benjy? They haven’t put a title on it yet.
Citizenship: British
Culture: Greek?
Hometown: Brighton, England, though she doesn’t remember much of it.
Traditions: The Jones Family used to take trips to Greece to visit where Ianto grew up, but those trips stopped about three years ago.
Sleep Patterns: It varies depending on her current work load. Hestia can stay up late and get up early when it’s necessary. Though, if she had her choice, she would rather stay up a little late and sleep in super late. As of late, she has been experiencing more nightmares and so her sleep is a bit more disturbed than usual.
Vocal Characteristics
Accent/Dialect: More Mancunian influenced English
Impediments: N/A
Laughter: Loud and light in tonal quality.
Pitch: Pleasant and overall not grating to tears.
Range: Hestia can achieve gruffer, sterner tones when she needs to have a commanding voice but can also be comforting and gentle.
Volume: Generally a medium tone, though she has the range to speak softly and/or loud when necessary.
Social: Growing up in a pureblood family meant attending parties and schmoozing potential future suitors. That part of Hestia’s life has fallen by the wayside (fortunately), but she still manages to conduct herself well in social settings. She has grown close with a few and would call several friends, though she is learning to be more guarded in her trust.
Physical: Hestia was a little awkward as a younger child, much to her mother’s dismay. Grace wasn’t a word that necessarily was used to describe Hestia. She has grown to understand how her body operates and moves confidently - especially when on a broom. She is making the move from being a pretty girl to a beautiful young woman.
Spiritual: It’s taken work this year to keep her head held high and to keep moving forward, to hold onto the light around them than to let the darkness creep inward. Following the assault by Rodolphus Lestrange, Hestia will be pushed to her breaking point and have to learn how to cope with the residual effects.
Coming up: Hestia’s biggest challenge will come when she remembers what happened at the Lestrange house. Whether she let’s that moment break her and take her entirely or she is able to use it as fuel to drive herself forward.
Childhood: Hestia met Remus Lupin as a young child, shortly before he was attacked by Fenrir Greyback. She grew with his companionship and learned how to make mud pies properly. Hestia likes to think that knowing Remus early in her life gave her some extra patience and kindness, having learned from him.
The Jones Family would take trips to Greece almost every summer to visit where Ianto had grown up and see family. These were some of Hestia’s fondest memories. She remembers learning to swim with Paisley by her father. They laughed easily and a lot.
Her father was gone frequently when they weren’t on vacations, due to work. He spent a lot of time at the office putting so much into working on cases. There were times that he would come home late at night and Hestia would sneak out of bed to find him in his study, nursing a glass of whiskey. These were the times that Ianto was short and less charming, a little less of the adoring father that he usually was when they were out and about.
Going to Hogwarts was thrilling and terrifying to Hestia. She had been excited to go from the moment she found out about it. She made friends quickly after being sorted into Gryffindor.
Adolescence: Hestia started to practice Quidditch regularly and was able to join the team as a Third Year. Though, this was due to her mother’s dismay (“Young ladies just shouldn’t play sports.”) Hestia grew closer to her friends, joining forces with the Prewett Twins and Benjy. She learned she had an affinity for Charms and Transfiguration, despite being a not terribly good student.
This was the time in her life that her father started to become angry and lose sight of the joy in life. He adopted a glass of whiskey in his hand every time he was home… and then it soon became a bottle each night. As he drank, it seemed to feed the anger, and then his thirst for hurting whatever he could possible reach around him. Hestia tried to intervene, to pull Ianto from the demons that haunted him, but to no avail.
Friendships were tested and tried and broken. This time has taught Hestia more about herself within a year than it has ever in her life. Currently, at the age of 17, Hestia is (she believes) ready to help her friends fight for the good in the world.

Intellectual Characteristics
Logical-Mathematical: This is a strength of Hestia’s…when her emotional side doesn’t win out. She can understand that something is logical but if her emotions tell her otherwise, it takes some personal bargaining to accept it.
Philosophical Characteristics
Morality: The good and bad in the world is typically black and white to her. There isn’t much room for grey area for her. Recently, the current state of the world, the contrast has become even more stark.
Spiritual Characteristics
Religion: No religion. With her Greek heritage, she likes to entertain the idea of Greek gods. Though, they are a bit vengeful and incestuous for her.
Devotion: More for entrainment value for her than anything else.Superstitions: Hestia isn’t overly superstitious though she would avoid walking under ladders when she can.
Highs and Lows
Likes: Quidditch; smell of fresh cut grass; scent of freshly turned dirt; scent after rain; Benjy; books; Charms; Remus; sitting next to warm fire in the Gryffindor common room.

Favorite Place: Quidditch Pitch; Grecian beaches
Apparel
Dress Style/Wardrobe: Hestia usually dresses for comfort: worn in jeans, maybe a band tee under a button up plaid shirt. Or more jeans and a cozy sweater/cardigan.
Social Characteristics
Communication: Hestia usually jokes around with people both to break the ice as well as using it as a defense mechanism. She typically speaks openly and mostly honestly with people, though has recently begun to understand the importance of maybe withholdng a bit more.
School and Work
Average Grade: Mostly O’s for Hestia; Charms, Transfiguration, DADA all were O’s. Unfortunately, Potions and Ancient Runes didn’t score quite so high.
Education: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Eventually, after school, Hestia plans on taking extra specialized courses if possible.
Wealth
Class: Upper-middle based on her parents. Somewhere below the Potter family status. Debt: No debts, monetarily speaking.
Dependents: No dependents at this time. Though, babies may be in the near future.
Funds: A few galleons and sickles on her most of the time.
Income: No current income; probably won’t for some time.
Intrapersonal Connections
Immediate Family: Vesta Jones (Umbridge) - mother; Ianto Jones - father; Paisley Jones - adopted younger sister.
Combat
Signature Move: Binding hex.
Specialty: Charms and hexes.
Strengths: Dueling - able to keep a level head and attempts to stay one step ahead of her opponent.
Weaknesses: Hestia could be easily distracted if a close relation is threatened.

Sexual Characteristics

Past: Sirius, Remus
Marital Status: Single
Significant Other: Maybe Benjy? They haven’t put a title on it yet.
Residential Characteristics
Abode: A large home in England where Mr. and Mrs. Ianto Jones reside. Currently, Hogwarts, Gryffindor TowerCitizenship: British
Impediments: N/A
Laughter: Loud and light in tonal quality.
Pitch: Pleasant and overall not grating to tears.
Range: Hestia can achieve gruffer, sterner tones when she needs to have a commanding voice but can also be comforting and gentle.
Volume: Generally a medium tone, though she has the range to speak softly and/or loud when necessary.
Development
Personal: Hestia has always been sure of herself, in who she is and how she interacts with the world around her. This year has made her question her self-worth and where she stands in the world. With the weight and darkness of the current social climate in the wizarding world encroaching on what they felt was a safe place (Hogwarts), Hestia has had to dig deep and decide where she wants to stand. She knows she wants to stand tall and strong beside her friends.Social: Growing up in a pureblood family meant attending parties and schmoozing potential future suitors.
Defining Moment
To date: The summer that she and Paisley came home to find that Ianto Jones had developed a stronger love for whiskey and physical violence than for them… and he attempted to punish Paisley for an ‘episode’. He ranted about how weak their adoptive daughter was and went to strike her. Hestia stepped between the two of then, taking the blow, but also protecting Paisley from further injury. Hestia was never sure if she really belonged in Gryffindor, but that moment showed her that she had bravery within it. That moment serves as a reminder that she can be brave and stand up when she needs to.Coming up: Hestia’s biggest challenge will come when she remembers what happened at the Lestrange house. Whether she let’s that moment break her and take her entirely or she is able to use it as fuel to drive herself forward.
Biography
Infancy: By normal standards, Hestia’s infancy was regular and charming. Her parents adored her - she was their gift after they thought they would not be able to have children. They loved her and doted on her. They loved her so much that they wanted to share that love and joy with another child in their lives; Ianto and Vesta Jones brought home Paisley to join their family.
