I pray we may all challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our hearts to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and compassion. We are all in this life together."

General Characteristics
Name: Charity Elaine Burbage
Appearance: Charity's natural hair color is an Ashy blonde, though she rarely keeps it the same color or the same length for long. Thankfully magic means she's able to change it regularly to fit whatever mood or decade she feels like being in. She has large, round blue eyes, a button like nose and round lips which are usually parted in a sly smile.
She's small, even for a sixteen year old, and gets her petiteness from her biological mothers side, and gets the swan like neck and sharp cheekbones from the Markoff side.
Other Names: Chari Or B
Titles: N/A
Alternate Forms: N/A
Blood Status: Pureblood
Theme Song: Calling All Girls - Queen
Wand: 9 1/2, Dragon Heartstring, Dogwood, Springy
Wand Meaning: Dogwood wands are quirky and mischievous; they have playful natures and insist upon partners who can provide them with scope for excitement and fun. It would be quite wrong, however, to deduce from this that dogwood wands are not capable of serious magic when called upon to do so; they have been known to perform outstanding spells under difficult conditions, and when paired with a suitably clever and ingenious witch or wizard, can produce dazzling enchantments. An interesting foible of many dogwood wands is that they refuse to perform non-verbal spells and they are often rather noisy.
Patronus: Hippo
Affilitation: None, she keeps her affiliations outside of the Wizarding World.

Accomplishments: As of right now, she doesn't really have any accomplishments. Perhaps being able to help Regulus see the light?
Greatest Achievement: She doesn't have any yet.
Failures: Other than the occasional fail on a test? Charity's been a pretty normal teenager, so no big failures yet.
Biggest Failure: See Above.
Self-Confidence: Charity has some high self confidence, born from her adoptive parents being warm, affectionate and encouraging throughout her life. She knows she's not the best at school, and isn't the strongest witch (though perhaps thats because she's constantly trying to withhold the Markoff side of her), but she knows what she's good at and is proud of herself for it. She also knows that she's attractive and likeable. Her only vulnerabilities come from people needling her about her biological family.
Traumas: The fire that killed her biological parents and left her a temporary orphan.
Afflictions: None
Embarrassments: The only embarrassment she's really had was getting cornered by Rabastan Lestrange in the Herbology Gardens, and being struck by him.

Mental Characteristics
IQ: Charity is better versed in the muggle education, and occasionally has muggle friends send her their homework for her to practice with. Magically, however, she's pretty average. She's not the worst, but she's not the best either and she's okay with that. She rather shuns her pureblood heritage, which helps to hinder her magic.
Known Languages: Only English, though she has been practicing Gaelic.
Lures:
- Boys, especially ones she's not completely safe with
- Parties
- Muggle Vintage
Memory: Her memory is probably her best asset, she can remember extremely well, though she oftens wishes she couldn't

Ineptities: Dueling, Dealing with scary Slytherins, Dealing with her pureblood heritage.
Temperament: Charity has a very patient, cool temperament. She hardly ever gets angry, though when she does she tends to let it burst out all at once before cooling rapidly.
Hobbies: Bass Guitar, Collecting vintage fashion, Make-up, and lately collecting information for Regulus.
Pet Peeves: Bigotry and Intolerance
Intellectual Characteristics
Charity is quite logical and mathematical when she wants to be. When she's not busy running around with Xeno and his latest experiments, or skulking about with Regulus, she likes to try her hand at whatever her muggle friends are doing in school. She's found her best muggle subjects to be Maths and Sciences.
Spatial:
Charity has a vivid imagination, fueled by her love for playing with make up and hair styles and different eras of Muggle history. She uses it most either in her personal style or during play time with a special someone.
Linguistic:
She's not terrible at making her point known, but she is slightly awkward in a charming way. She definitely wont' be making her career as a public speaker but she can speak eloquently when she's practiced a ton the night before.
Bodily-Kinesthetic:
Charity is hopeless at anything involving hand eye coordination, sports, or physical activity of any sort. She's fit, but not an athlete, and her clothes usually hinder her movement in some way.
Musical:
She is, however, talented at music. She practices at home, and has occasionally dabbled in the underground muggle music scene when she has time or she's with a boy who does it. Her favorite instrument is the bass guitar and the violin.
Interpersonal:
All you need to know about Charity's interpersonal skills is in the explanation of her patronus:
The hippo is a unique and versatile animal, and those with it’s patronus are the same. They have the ability to adapt to most situations and be comfortable, even though to other’s they may seem somewhat out of place. They have a good way of blending into the scene until they want to be noticed, at which point they make their presence more than known, giving an impression that lasts. They are friendly to most, though if provoked their bad side is one of the nastiest there is.
Intrapersonal:
She's in tuned to herself and her needs, and tends to put them above others, its the only trait of the Markoffs that withstood time. She likes to be happy, and will do what it takes to make herself that way.
Naturalistic:
Charity loves animals, one of her favorite places is the zoo, but she's not very naturalistic. She does feel warm and at home in the Herbology greenhouses though, with the smell of dirt and plants.
Existential:
Charity doesn't really spend much time pondering the existential. She's too busy working with Regulus, scheming with Xeno and dodging nosy Slytherins.
Philosophical Characteristics
Morality:
Charity knows how close she came to being one of the "evil Slytherins", so she doesnt' put much stock into the way Hogwarts seems to divide good people and 'bad' people. She doesn't get along with a lot of the Snake House, but she knows that most are like her, just trying to survive and graduate school, and be normal teenagers. She realizes there is a large grey area and she tries to stay in the lighter side of it.
Etiquette:
One of the ways Charity pushes away her pureblood heritage is by having less than stellar etiquette. Though the way she charmed Regulus' mother into letting him spend a weekend with her shows that she can be quite the lady when she wants to be. It has to be her idea though.
Attitude:
Charity is all about being positive and happy, and seeing the silver lining in every gloomy cloud. She has an optimistic attitude and finds that it takes a lot to change that.
Outlook on Life:
For the most part, Charity's outlook on life can be a little naive. She knows there is a war, and that it isn't good, and there are dark parts of both worlds she lives in. But she believes that the majority of life is good.
Perception:
Charity has become known as an oddball, like Xeno from the Ravenclaw house. Even her fellow Hufflepuffs find her a little strange.
Philosophy: "The first step toward change is awareness. The second step is acceptance."
Taboos:
- Killing
- Injuring
- Supremacy of any kind
Spiritual Characteristics
Religion: Her adoptive parents are casual catholics, but they only go to church during holidays.
Devotion: Charity doesn't have any devotion, she attends church with her parents only to see friends.
Superstitions: Her parents have some silly superstitions from Ireland that they like to occasionally bring up, but usually in jest. Her mother sends her warnings in the month of May to watch out for fairies stalking her, in case they decide to kidnap her. But it's become a family joke, as the wizarding world actually does have fairies and they don't usually keep company with humans.

Apparel
Dress Style/Wardrobe:
It changes based on her mood or what era she's showing off that day. Though her body type, petite and thin, looks best wearing the top fashion from the flapper era. She most often wears whatever was most popular during a certain era (1920 to recent), with the hairstyle and make up to match. Lately she's been modeling the popular style now with muggles with bright earth tones.

A locket given to her by her adoptive parents with their pictures.
Most Valuable Possession:
Probably her record player and record collection she has stashed in her trunk.

Social Characteristics
Communication:
Charity isn't the strongest communicator, but she will let you know what she thinks if the situation is safe enough. She tends to communicate rather strongly with her facial expressions as well.
Criminal Record:
Luckily Charity doesn't have one yet, which is fortunate since her father would be extremely dissapointed.
Discriminations:
She tends to think the worst of Slytherins, as though they're all bigots. She also tends to view Gryffindors as bullish and not worth her time.
Dominance:
She's pretty average. It depends on the person. If they're more submissive or more dominant, she'll compensate either way to make their friendship or acquaintance more harmonious.
Ego:
While she doesn't have an inflated head, Charity has a high ego. She doesn't think she's hot shit, but she is happy with how she is and how her life is.
Emotional Stability:
She's pretty emotional stable, which she credits to her adoptive parents and how stable they've been. She's not one to have wild mood swings.
Expression:
Like her dominance, she compensates depending on who she's talking to. She does tend to show what she's really thinking with her face though.
Humor:
Charity's humor is most often like that of her favorite comedy group, Monty Python. She also likes to use self deprecation and sarcasm.
Liveliness:
She's very lively, she likes her sleep but she doesn't feel the effects (yet) if she gets too little sleep. She'd much rather be partying or entertaining a cute boy than missing some fun by sleeping.
Mannerisms:
She's patient, kind and amenable. She is seen as annoying by some, but most find her non threatening and funny in an odd way.
Patience:
She's in Hufflepuff for a reason! She has a large capacity for waiting and not stressing. She likes the slow lane.
Reputation:
She's seen as an outsider by her own choosing, and an oddball. Which she's completely accepted and okay with. Some see her as a nuisance.
Sociability:
Charity is perfectly happy in her own company, but she does get a thrill out of being social with people. She's adaptable and happy to converse if needed.
Status:
She doesn't' really have a status. She's just another 16 year old trying to survive school.

Her adoptive parents are Georgia and Nathan Burbage, both muggles, who adopted her when she was young. They both hail from Ireland, though moved to London after getting married. Georgia is a homemaker and Nathan is a firefighter.

Development
Personal:
Charity has always been a strange specimen in Hogwarts, and so her personal development hasn't changed much. She's gotten mroe accepting of herself but has always been happy with who she is. She has had the same goals since she was first adopted, and hasn't changed them as of yet. Theonly development she's been doing is what all 16 year olds go through since the beginning of time...finding herself and becoming a woman, and all that boring stuff.
Social:
Her social skills have grown, especially as she's entered a working relationship with Regulus. She's had to be more subtle and suave as she maneuvers all the dangers she now faces by helping him.
Physical:
She's stronger than she was when she started Hogwarts, but nothing extravagant.
Spiritual:
She hasn't noticed, though she's become more accepting of who she could have been.

Biography
Infancy:
The Markoffs were a very rich, noble, pureblood house in America. They hailed from Russia and imigrated to The States in the early 1800s. George and Jeanette Markoff got married soon after leaving Ilvermorny and soon found themselves with child. They decided to move to England after hearing news of Hogwarts and how much better it was rumored to be.
They had Charity a few months after arriving and buying a London Mansion, and Charity had the usual pureblood infancy. A beautiful nursery with seemingly everything, being raised mostly by a nanny.Though her mother did seem to be quite fond of her, in her own way.

Childhood:
At seven, Charity woke up to smoke and a fire trapping her in her room. She hid in her closet until help arrived in the form of a masked fireman, who whisked her away. She soon found out that her parents had perished, and that the cause of the fire was never clearly found. She was shunned by her other Markoff family members, and ended up in a Muggle orphanage. She was only there for a few months, however, before the firefighter who rescued her came in and adopted her.
It took her a while to acclimate from a somewhat cold, rich way of life to the Burbages. Who were warm, middle class, and extremely nurturing. She quickly adapted and found herself having a loving childhood, going to school and making friends with muggles, who all welcomed the adopted girl with open arms.

She quickly adapted and found herself having a loving childhood, going to school and making friends with muggles, who all welcomed the adopted girl with open arms.
Adolescence:
She soon found herself in strange situations, with magical happenings randomly starting when she was eight. A late bloomer, which was perhaps a reason the Markoff's shunned her, thinking her a squib. Soon McGonnogal arrived and told her adoptive family what she was, even though Charity had tried to tell them before. She was a witch, and soon was walking through Diagon Alley with her new family, getting ready for school.
She was more nervous than excited when her first day at Hogwarts arrived. Part of her wanted to shun her magical side and instead muggle school, as she missed her friends. She went, at the encouragement of her parents, and found herself sorted into Hufflepuff. Which was a tremendous relief as she thought she'd be in Slytherin, a house her parents probably wanted her to be in had they been alive.

She made quick friends with Xeno after they were paired up in potions and collectively blew their potions up, and soon found herself as one of the oddballs of her year. She embraced it and starting in third year began dressing in muggle vintage clothing, and trying to educate her peers on why they should get more interested in muggles.
